Sports Minister congratulates sportspersons for Padma awards
Sports Minister MS Gill called up cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh, ace cueist Pankaj Advani and former hockey player Balbir Singh Khullar to congratulate them on winning the Padma Shri award.

Sports Minister MS Gill on Monday called up cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh, ace cueist Pankaj Advani and former hockey player Balbir Singh Khullar to congratulate them on winning the Padma Shri award.
Gill tried to call Dhoni but the India captain, set to leave Chennai for Sri Lanka, had his mobile switched off. So a message was left on his phone and Dhoni called back and had a chat with Gill.
"The Minister also called Advani and Khullar and congratulated them and their family on winning the prestigious award," a Ministry official said.
Gill also called up Harbhajan in Jalandhar and wished him well. Harbhajan is nursing a hamstring injury and was left out of the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour.
