Srikrishna panel to visit Hyderabad from May 24-26

The Srikrishna Committee, appointed by the Centre to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue, would visit Hyderabad to hold consultations with various groups.

The Srikrishna Committee, appointed by the Centre to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue, would visit the city to hold consultations with various groups.

The committee would hold meetings with Telangana Non-Governmental Organisation, Andhra Joint Action Committee, Dalit Christian Forum, Samaikya Andhra Samithi Party among various other associations from May 24 to 26, the committee's nodal officer Rajiv Sharma said in a release today.

The committee has undertaken several visits to the Andhra Pradesh capital over the last one month during which it had meetings with Telugu Desam, Praja Rajyam, CPI, CPI(M) and MIM. Congress leaders, however, have not met the committee members so far.

The committee aims to conclude the process of consultations by next month before undertaking field visits across the state.
