State staff protest against Govt

HUNDREDS OF employees under the banner of State Employees? Joint Council, UP, staged a dharna at the district headquarters here on Friday against the anti-employees policy of the State government. Presiding over the meeting, district president Hanuman Prasad Srivastava warned the State government for not conceding to the demands like merger of 50 per cent DA , house rent allowance, installation of employee leader BN Singh in Lucknow and waiving of loan taken for higher education for staff wards in case of death of employee.

Presiding over the meeting, district president Hanuman Prasad Srivastava warned the State government for not conceding to the demands like merger of 50 per cent DA , house rent allowance, installation of employee leader BN Singh in Lucknow and waiving of loan taken for higher education for staff wards in case of death of employee.

He said if these demands were not conceded then the staff would stage dharna at the divisional headquarters on September 7. Further if the demands were not fulfilled then they would go on indefinite strike. Employee leaders Kshma Nath Dubey and Kamal Kumar Nigam warned the State government to accept the genuine demands otherwise they would intensify their agitation.

Other leaders, including Shri Nath Thakur, Vijay Shankar Singh, Anil Kumar Yadav, Pramod Yadav, flayed the government of ignoring the grievances of employees.

A large number of employees were being retired every year while government was not filling these posts.

Women leaders Archna Singh, Jaidevi Nigam and Shashibala Rai alleged that staff were being harassed by the health department.
