Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) director J P Nagar said this at the inauguration of the seventh national industrial fair and exhibition Ind Expo 2006 on Friday in the City. Over 100 industries from different states are taking part in the industrial fair this year.

The fair provides a common platform to various industries ranging from micro units manufacturing incense sticks to big names like L&T in the private sector and BHEL in the public sector to showcase their products and technology under one roof.

“A number of companies from Indore including Indore Colour Organics, Shriram Switch Gears, DT Industries, etc. have benefited from international fairs of this kind,” Nagar said adding that the exhibition would provide an excellent platform for exchange of ideas in technology besides promoting business tie-ups.
