MAINTAINING ITS warning, Barkatullah University administration on Tuesday ordered the deduction of three days’ salary of all employees who had participated in the recent strike.

The university on Tuesday issued formal orders deducting salary of all employees who struck work on November 20, 21 and 22. The university had warned employees that salary would be

deducted for the period of strike, on the very first day of strike – November 20. Meanwhile, the employees are looking forward to the executive committee meeting of November 30 to get some of their demands – for which they went on strike – fulfilled.

They are expecting the vice-chancellor to put forth the issues of appointment on compassionate ground, hike in conveyance allowance and medical allowance before the EC.

An issue of hike in the exam fee from the next academic session might also come up for discussion at the EC, university
sources said.
