Irate students were demanding cancellation of all admissions made till date by the college management. Police intervention was sought to control the mob.

According to students, the college management has given admission to some students who got second and third divisions ignoring the claim of first division students. They alleged that the management was pursuing the first-come-first-serve policy instead of selecting students purely on merit basis. The college students’ union also sought cancellation of old admission list and demanded issuing fresh forms for admission.

On the other-hand, students who could not get admission in DAV College staged a dharna outside the college campus demanding admission. Meanwhile, the controversy over the admission could not be resolved at BND College even on Wednesday. The college students’ union called on the principal and demanded admission of students whose names were missing from the admission list.

It may be pointed out that the admission related violence has rocked several degree colleges of the city. Several violent protests were staged by the students’ union of several colleges at their respective campus demanding admission for students.
