Meanwhile, nearly 400 regular students appeared as private candidates while around 444 students boycotted the examination.

According to sources, students of Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Higher Secondary School, Mahi Math, had appeared for examination at Adarsh Janta Higher Secondary School, Nausar. However, their admit cards were found tampered with by the principal of the college and their names did not match with the registered names.

Sources said that the principal of Shankaracharya School had submitted a list of fake students to the UP Board.  When the admit cards arrived, the principal tampered with them and changed the names to adjust the new students.

However, the district education officials caught these students red handed and stopped them from appearing in the examination.

Similarly, in another incident, 228 regular High School students of National Public Inter College, Bhathat, were shocked when they realised that they had become private students in the examination.

According to sources, the registration form of these students had reached the UP Board office in Allahabad after the expiry date for registration.

Meanwhile, 244 students of Ram Vikas Higher Secondary School, Dhanausa, also met similar fate.

Around 444  high school and intermediate students have left their papers only on the second day of the examination
