Styris was named man of the match after claiming figures of three for 38 and then scoring 68 in a match-turning fifth-wicket stand of 127 with Craig McMillan.

The 28-year-old was given out lbw in the 40th over of the match off the bowling of Murali Kartik.

"Scott was fined 100 percent of his match fee," said New Zealand team manager Lindsay Crocker.

"Scott got a fair hearing and it is not something that we condone or want to see in our players."
