In a party statement in Chennai, Swamy termed Vaiko’s remarks yesterday as “highly objectionable, anti-national,” and deserving legal action.
Swamy said Prabhakaran was a “proclaimed offender” who was wanted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, and warning of a ‘bloodbath´ in Tamil Nadu if he was harmed amounted to “incitement of violence and disloyalty to the nation.”
Terming the statement made by Vaiko as “offensive,” Swamy urged the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to initiate legal action against the MDMK leader and detain him under the NSA.
