Model, writer, businessperson, wife, mother, Saira Mohan's list gets longer.

Standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, this Canadian-born, US-based su permodel of mixed pedigree — half Punjabi, half French Irish — is no blue-eyed bimbette.

Her finesse exuberates even when not on the ramp. An astute businessperson, handling stocks and securities company, 28-year-old Saira Mohan relaxes by taking up the brush and pen.

A painter and author of How to seduce and (marry) the woman of your dreams, the multi-hyphenated beauty juggles from playing a mother wife, model to a 'role model'.

"Outside the fashion realm, I wish to fill the lacunae that exist." A versatile personality, Mohan has dedicated herself to being a mentor for the youth.

"For years I've been giving relationship advice to teenagers. My website is flooded with queries from across the world. Happily married for six years, I feel I can give some sane advice."

India fascinates her. Having visited the country several times on holiday— Kerala being her favourite destination — Mohan sees "beauty everywhere in India — even in the chaos." Her fascination for 'Indianism' does not end with her paternal ancestry.

From wrapping herself in a sari on the runway in Chicago, to cooking quintessential Punjabi dal makhani, Mohan went a step further to tie the knot in India with her American stock-investor husband David Cooper.

Asked whether her son is aware of his Indian lineage, Mohan proudly replies, "His name is Ram Kumar, that can't say anything except his Indian identity."

On her plans in India, she adds, "I will be in the country for the movie shoot. After that I plan to visit it at every possible opportunity."
