Police said Dorphang was arrested last night under IPC Sections 324 and 34 and was granted bail by a court on Tuesday.

Dorphang is alleged to have assaulted and seriously injured another surrendered cadre of the outfit, Shemphang Kharluki, at a brawl at a city discotheque on Saturday last.

Kharluki later lodged an FIR at Sadar police station against Dorphang.

A Special Operations Team personnel, who was also involved in the brawl at the discotheque, was also arrested along with Dorphang.

Dorphang had surrendered to the government in 2007.
