BJP also threatened to take legal action against Khurana for levelling certain allegations against Swaraj.

Claiming that prior to making the charges, Khurana had met party President Rajnath Singh and General Secretary Arun Jaitley and sought pre-1998 position (Rajya Sabha seat) from senior leader LK Advani through a religious leader, party spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The party has refused to bow before his blackmailing."

The party rejects and treats his allegations with the contempt they deserve", Prasad said.

Swaraj was contemplating serious legal action against Khurana, he said.

Meanwhile, Swaraj said that "I will go to the court against Khurana".

In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Khurana had made the allegations against both Swaraj and Advani.
