Suspected Taliban fighters fired a grenade at a police vehicle on Wednesday in southwestern Afghanistan, killing a provincial deputy police chief and injuring three other people, officials said.

The militants hit the vehicle with a rocket-propelled grenade early on Wednesday, killing the Zabul Province deputy police chief, Ghulam Rasool, and injuring three other policemen, said a spokesman for the region, Ali Khail.
