Swami Vivekanand remembered

GOVERNMENT NEW Science College organised a programme to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand here on Thursday. The College Janbhagidari cell president Dinesh Khandelwal informed that Swami Vivekanand Kendra City convener Sudhakar Sapre, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s Nikhil Dave and Piyush Dikshit were key speakers at the programme.

College principal Usha Krishnan distributed a novel based on the life of Swami Vivekanand among the students. Prof Shobha Chaturvedi conducted the programme. Student union president Vidya Patel proposed the vote of thanks.

Youth Week: Meanwhile, Vivekanand Yuva Mandal and Nehru Yuva Kendra also jointly organised a programme to mark the 144th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand at Vivekanand School, Mangliya, on Thursday.

A Youth Week was also inaugurated on the occasion. SDM Kaushal Bansal and Sunil Pandey inaugurated the programme.
