The decision of Takht Patna Sahib Jathedar Iqbal Singh to hold guilty former Akal Takht cleric Darshan Singh for his remarks on Dasm Granth has been declared null and void by Vedanti.

Dasam Granth is the religious scripture authored by Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru.

Darshan Singh is a respectable person and the decision of Takht Patna Sahib stands annulled in the interest of the Sikh community, a release of Akal Takht, the supreme temporal seat of Sikhs, said.

Moreover, Iqbal Singh has no jurisdiction to take such decisions, it said.
