Tamil actress commits suicide in Chennai

A Tamil television actress has allegedly committed suicide at her residence, police said on Wednesday.

Shraddha Vishwanath (21), a B Sc Microbiology graduate, was found hanging from the fan of her room on Tuesday night, police said.

A "suicide note" found near her held none responsible for the extreme step. The actress had starred in a few Tamil soap operas in and also did a supporting role in a Tamil movie.

This is second such incident within few months. Another TV artiste Vaishnavi allegedly hanged herself when her marriage proposal was reportedly rejected by her co-actor. The actor was later arrested in this connection.
