Terror, J&K figure in Atal-Pervez meet

Vajpayee today met Pervez, their first formal meeting in two years after the failed Agra summit.

  Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee met Pak president Musharraf on the sidelines of SAARC summit. It was described as a courtesy call.  
The two had not spoken formally since July 2001, when they attended a bilateral summit in Agra

India on Monday raised the issue of terrorism at the hour-long meeting between Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and President Pervez Musharraf, according to a senior Pakistani Minister.

Kashmir also figured at the meeting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister for Information, said without giving any details.

The two leaders held a "comprehensive round" of talks, he said, adding, "Kashmir figured, of course."

He said India raised its concerns about terrorism.

The two sides are yet to give an official briefing on the talks held at the Presidential Palace.
