The terrorists attacked the Army convoy from the hill top at Sakhi Maidan in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district last night, they said.

The troops took position and fired back resulting in a fierce gunbattle which lasted for half an hour, they said adding terrorists later escaped from the spot.
