In a list of the most fashionable dining destinations during Paris Fashion Week, a boutique hotel frequented by some of the most powerful people in the industry has taken the top spot — but not for its food.
In a list of the most fashionable dining destinations during Paris Fashion Week, a boutique hotel frequented by some of the most powerful people in the industry has taken the top spot — but not for its food.
In a top 10 list compiled by well-known food critic François Simon of French publication Le Figaro, L’Hôtel Costes was deemed to be the most fashionable restaurant for its sense of over-the-top, old world glamour, ‘sexiness’ and star sightings. Star sightings that have helped to up the glamour factor at the hotel include Kate Moss, Stella McCartney and the Beckhams.
Based on criteria such as food, décor, glamour and ambiance, Simon gave L’Hôtel Costes top marks for being the place to see and be seen.
While second runner-up Le Dauphin, helmed by Paris’s young, irreverent and bold chef du jour Iñaki Aizpitarte, earned higher marks for food (4.5 out of 5 marks versus 3.5 marks for Hotel Costes), Simon gave L’Hôtel Costes the top spot for being “sexy as hell.”
