The transformation of the mortal body into the shuddha deham or the perfect body has been the subject of much discussion with all our masters and their disciples. If we wish for moksha, or becoming eternal ascended masters, then it is important for us to know what our goal is. To perfect the body means to raise it to such a fine spiritual vibration that when the time for ascension comes, it has no difficulty in merging immediately, as light into light.

All of them achieved this transformation through many years of yogic practices, yet it is now within our reach to achieve this awesome feat within our own lifetimes. This is a very special dispensation of the New Age. This is a divine inspired process, which can bring about union with the divine at all levels, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical.

By following the path of raising ourselves through spirals of light meditations we can transform the presently prevailing impure body, susceptible to decay and material bondage, into the everlasting and imperishable body of light.

When the yogis of yore went through the rigours of intense spiritual Sadhana they knew that their goal was to achieve the state of impersonal, yet highly personalised divine love to all living things and beings. This had to be achieved through a thorough cleansing of all the four lower bodies, to be able to receive the final grace.

Seeing every thing alive as an aspect of God's thought, expressed as a physical reality, was something to die for. This was the principle of reverence for all life, and when the yogi connected himself inextricably into this web of life, he became the purity of life itself, expressed through a clean and pure body, mind, and heart.

The other aspect was a total devotion to God and his principles of becoming Love. When both these principles merged in the yogic knowledge and wisdom, the yogi was ready to receive the descent of His grace in the form of light.

Today we know that by merely calling for the light continually and daily, with all the devotion and fervor that we can muster, melting our hearts with our deep love for God, a soothing warmth is produced in our bodies. This is the warmth that starts the purification process. As we carry on with this practice and develop this sacred warmth on a daily basis, we will find ourselves being purified into Light, bit by bit. Slowly, yet surely we will find all traces of the famous five negative emotions, Anger, Greed, Attachment to the material world, lust, and ego, disintegrate from our
normal lives.

One day, by His grace, the material body of the impure elements will be transmuted into the pure body of light, emitting a golden hue, for all times to come!
