'Third front' can't prevent Patil's selection: Ramadoss

The union health minister says no third front or fourth front can do anything against Pratibha Patil's selection.

Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Monday said that the 'third front' could not prevent UPA Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil from getting elected.

"No third front or fourth front can do anything against Pratibha Patil's selection", he said in Salem. Further this was the "best opportunity" for the country to have a woman occupy the highest position. This would also give an impetus to the call for increased participation of women in politics, he said.
