The chidren had gone to take a swim in the reservoir filled with rain water, police said, adding while three of them drowned, one was rescued and was rushed to the nearby hospital where his condition was said to be stable.

The children were residents of kanungo-ki-dhani under Parbatsar police station, they said.

The bodies were sent for postmortem, police said.
