Three intruders killed in Jammu & Kashmir

Three armed terrorists trying to infiltrate into J&K through LoC with Pakistan in Baramulla district were killed by Indian Army soldiers.

Three armed terrorists trying to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir through the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan in Baramulla district were killed by Indian Army soldiers on Sunday.

A group of heavily armed terrorists attempted the intrusion near Gawalta village on the LoC in Uri sector on early Sunday, police said.

"Alert troops challenged the group of terrorists who opened fire at the security forces. The fire was returned and in the ensuing gunfight three terrorists were killed," a police official said.

He said a large quantity of arms and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
