The district administration has set deadlines for 15 services after the state government, on June 8, had decided to implement a scheme for time-bound delivery of services.

Gurgaon deputy commissioner PC Meena said officials who do not deliver services on time will be dealt with.

Meena said a time-limit of 15 days has been fixed for issuing a new ration card, but, if the applicant surrenders his previous card for a new one then he should be given it in seven days.

The time for issuing a duplicate ration card or inclusion or deletion of names is to be done in seven days. Applications for these services are to be given to the food and civil supplies inspector.

The time for issuing caste/resident/domicile certificates has been fixed at seven days and the application has to be made to the tehsildar.

Similarly, a resident is entitled to get a learner's driving licence in five days and a permanent one in seven days. Also, one can register his car in seven days.

The time for issuing a temporary electricity connection or enhancement of electricity load is 30 days and the application is to be made to the SDO (discom). The time for sanction of mutation of land is five working days.

One does not need to wait endlessly for getting a new water or drainage connection. One can get both these services in 12 days.
