How many times have you gone out of your way to make every event special for your mum? Well, on this special day, HT City helps you plan a memorable Mother's Day. Here are some of the-gifts you could rustle up for her.
Book a date: Dig into your box of old photographs. Handpick a couple of her favourites. Paste them onto a handmade paper diary You can also add ribbons, dried flowers and also pen down a thought or two.
Make a meal: No big deal. You don't need the skills of Jamie Oliver or Nigella Lawson for it. Just try your hand at simple dishes - take help from your grandma or cookbooks or simply log on to a food website.
And don't forget to clean up the kitchen.
Pen a poem: Want to express what you feel for your mom? Well, go ahead and pen down your thoughts. And if you are really good with words, make them rhyme.
Better still, make your own frame and place your poem in it. She'll love it.
Goodie basket: This is the easiest. All you have to do is, collect little knick-knacks your mum always wanted - jewellery, gardening equipment or even a book. Collect them and put it all in a basket with a large ribbon.
Paint a pot: Take a pot and get creative with some acrylic colours. A bit of glue with a smattering of glitter can work wonders. Wait till she puts it on her kitchen window for all her friends to see when they come in to brunch.
