He accused the officials of covering up the starvation death and demanded suspension of the erring officials.Adityanath said he had visited Gauri Shriram village in Dudhi block of the district where the incident took place. Last month 30 trucks loaded with food grains were seized by the administration. The consignment was to be smuggled to the neighbouring country. He also raised the issue of involvement of top officials in the food scam of Rs 2667 crore in 2000-2004 in Ballia district.
Lambasting those who were opposing the recital of Vande Mataram, Adityanath said opposition to this song was against the national interest. It was insult of India and our freedom fighters. He further said that Muslims who hesitated in reciting the song, had migrated to Pakistan and those who chose to stay back should recite the song of patriotism.
Adityanath said the saffron brigade would organise various programmes on September 7 to mark the sanctity of the song and it would be recited in every educational institution and at every crossing. A programme would be organised in Gorakhpur and activists of Hindu Vahini would took out a Vande Mataram procession. Condemning the police firing in Haraiya, he said police were suppressing the voice of the saffron brigade activists which was unbearable. Adityanath said Islamic terrorism had spread in various parts of the country and called upon the youths to give a reply to anti-national forces.
National secretary of the World Hindu Federation Rakesh Singh Pahelwan, Premshanker Singh, Sunil Kumar Singh and many others also condemned the government for persuading appeasement policies for upper class.z
