The usually exuberant students were unusually quiet, which reflected the nostalgic mood of everyone present. The occasion took their thoughts back to the long years spent at the BHS.

The function started with a prayer to the Almighty to give wisdom, courage and strength to the outgoing students to do their best at the Board examination and give them success throughout their life.

Addressing the students, principal, CV Innes emphasised that one must believe in oneself and only then only one could climb the ladder of success. In other words, self-introspection is necessary for the progress, he stated.

"Humility is the key to success and exhorted the students to be invariably humble in their approach towards others," Innes added.

In the honour of their seniors, students of class XI, presented a cultural programme, comprising English and Hindi songs, skits, dance, and mimicry, to the cheers of everyone present in the hall.

Thereafter, on the demand of the students, BHS teacher, SD Timothy sang English and Hindi numbers, apt to the occasion, which were widely applauded and appreciated by those present in the hall.

Thereafter, the college headboy, Raoul Carlos Rodrigues, as well as Shishir Mishra, on behalf of the science students, and Jai Mir Puri, on behalf of the commerce students, thanked the teachers and staff for their cooperation and the juniors for their love and affection. The function came to an end, with an address by V Massey, Head, College Section.

Massey extended his best wishes to the outgoing class XII students for their outstanding performance at the forthcoming Board examinations.
