Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, State secretary of Pratinidhi Mandal Arun Agrawal, alleged that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was insensitive towards the long-pending demands of traders and that was why this rally
was planned to lodge their protest.

He said that various issues such as grim power scenario, increasing crime against traders, rehabilitation of roadside traders who have been removed in the name of encroachment, scraping the excise and service tax, decreasing trade tax on petroleum products in the State and new schemes to promote small scale industries across the State would be highlighted in the rally.

Agrawal said that an awareness rally ‘Vyapari Jagran Rally’ was launched on June 28 to highlight the reasons behind poor state of business in UP.

He also criticised the State government for unemployment dole and said that instead of giving unemployment allowance, the State government should have given jobs to these youths.

Senior State Vice-President of Mandal, BD Agrawal, Kamla Kant Pandey, Ramesh Nirankari, Prem Mishra and Pankaj Agrawal were also present on the occasion and called upon the traders to make the rally a grand success.
