The DMU carrying the passengers left Udhampur at 7:15 AM was derailed at Majalta due to some technical fault on the track, they said, adding no casualty or injury has been reported.

The traffic on the route would be restored by this evening, they said.

Senior railway officials have rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

A probe has been ordered into the incident by the railway authorities.
