Trials on to select MP cricket team

MADHYA PRADESH women’s selection trials is being held during the Usha Raje Cricket Tournament to select the team to take part in the Central Zone league tournament to be held at Kanpur.

Apart from MP, teams from UP, Rajasthan, Vidarbha and Railways are taking part in the tournament. The top two teams will be playing in the national tournament.

The nationals would be held for the selection of Indian team to take part in the Asian Women Cricket Tournament to begin at Jaipur from December 13. Teams would be arriving at Jaipur by December 12. The MP women’s team would be announced on Friday by 1 pm and they would be leaving on the same day for Kanpur to take part in the Central Zone match.

M P women’s team was the winner last year and it has good chance to repeat the feat this year also, says MP women cricket team coach Chitra.
