Popular job portals like naukri.com finally have competition. A placement portal by Delhi University is helping students get good breaks. Within the weeks the authorities received 450 applications of candidates who want to float their resume on the website.

Popular JOB portals like naukri.com finally have competition. A placement portal by Delhi University (DU) is helping students get good breaks. Within weeks of being launched, the authorities have been inundated with 450 applicants wanting to float their resume on the website.

Kirori Mal College (KMC) has launched kampusjobs.com for its final year students. Students, graduating in diverse streams like Sanskrit, Urdu, Analytical Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, can also leave their CVs at the portal.

The website already has prominent companies Ernst and Young, HCL Technologies, ABN Ambro Bank, Wipro Technologies, Dabur, Princeton Review and India Bulls on its list who are looking for recruits.

The students, who will be hired as trainees by these companies, are sure to draw salaries ranging between Rs 12,000 and Rs 30,000 per month. The average salary is Rs 20,000.

Students will also be given tips from dressing for an interview to how to make a good impression on the prospective employer.
