The government-run Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management (IITTM), which conducts postgraduate and undergraduate course in tourism and travel, will start another centre for Delhi and NCR students in Noida adjoining the Capital.
The Institute, which functions under the Union Tourism and Culture Ministry, already has centres in Gwalior, Bhubaneswar and Goa.
The foundation stone of the Noida campus, allotted a five-acre site in Sector 62, will be laid by Tourism Minister Ambika Soni on Wednesday.
Besides providing education and training, the IITTM also conducts short-term management development programmes for different states and central government.
The government has taken a decision to set up another new centre near Delhi in view of the phenomenal growth of the tourism industry and the need for grooming international standard personnel for it.
