The Congress workers also indulged in eve-teasing inside two polling booths in Kasabpura and Sitaram Bazar to keep the women voters away from casting votes, she said.

"This is a deliberate attempt by Congress workers and polling agents to demoralise and dissuade women from coming out to vote," she alleged, adding "if somebody harasses, every women has the right to complain.

"I have made a complaint to Election Commission observer Rangaraj about the Kesabpura incident while informing the local SHO about the Sitaram Bazaar incident," she said.

Asked how she was sure that the persons who indulged in such activities were Congress workers, she said they were wearing the party cap as well as the symbol on dress.

On the alleged threat to her, Smriti said "apparently the idea is to make it too disgusting for me to even step out and check my poll agents."
