Two hurt as minibus and tempo collide

TWO PERSONS were injured when a Nagar Seva and a tempo collided on Patthar Godam Road last evening. The tempo driver and a woman passenger were injured in the accident.

TWO PERSONS were injured when a Nagar Seva and a tempo collided on Patthar Godam Road last evening. The tempo driver and a woman passenger were injured in the accident.

The Nagar Seva (MP-09-S-7665) was being driven in a reckless manner and it hit the tempo (MP-09-S-1647) coming from the opposite direction. The tempo driver Vishnu Patidar and another woman Shakuntala More were injured. Tukoganj police registered a case against the Nagar Seva driver. The Nagar Seva bus has been seized, but the driver is absconding.

Car thief held

A CAR thief who boasted, while in an inebriated state, about his exploits before some persons is now cooling his heals in police custody. Police somehow came to know about the incident following a tip off and picked up the thief, who confessed his crime following sustained interrogation.

The thief identified as Narendra son of Shivraj Pachauri (40), a listed miscreant of Aerodrome police station area, was sitting with some friends at the ‘kalali’ at Raoji Bazaar and was recounting his exploits. He told his audience that a day before yesterday he had stolen a Maruti van in a matter of seconds.

On receiving a tip off, a police team went there, but on seeing the police Narendra started running away. He was chased and caught by the police. During interrogation he admitted that he had stolen Maruti van (MP-09-V-4428) parked at Ganesh temple at Chandrabhaga area. He told police he had hidden the car in a field at Nainod. The police have seized the vehicle.

Youths snatch woman’s chain

A CHAIN snatching incident was reported near the Nursing College last night. Yashoda wife of Balkrishna Rathore (42) resident of Geeta Nagar was walking on the road near the Nursing College when two motorcycle borne youths stopped by her and asked where she was going and before she could reply or realise what was happening, one of the youths snatched her chain and fled. Sanyogitaganj police have registered a case of loot.
