Two nominations filed in Tripura

Two candidates, one of BJP and another of Amra Bangali - filed their nominations for April 22 lok sabha elections in Tripura, official said.

Two candidates - one of BJP and another of Amra Bangali - filed their nominations today for April 22 Lok sabha elections in Tripura, official sources said.

Pulin Dewan of BJP and Karnadhan Chakma of Amra Bangali organisation filed their papers for East Tripura (ST) lok sabha constituency.

There are two Lok sabha constituencies in Tripura- West Tripura and East Tripura (ST).

A total of 19,77,115 voters would exercise their franchise in the state.

While West Tripura has a registered number of 10,40,931 voters, the East Tripura (ST) constituency has 9,36,184 voters, the sources said.
