Two Pak infiltrators held on Indo-Pak border

Security forces foiled infiltration bids and arrested two Pak infiltrators in Jammu and Poonch districts.

Security forces on Friday foiled two infiltration bids and arrested two Pakistani infiltrators in Jammu and Poonch districts, official sources said.

Alert troops on guard duty observed some movement near Line of Control in Sagria forward area in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district on Friday morning, the sources said.

They challanged a man after spotting him in Indian territory and after a chase he was arrested.

The arrested person was identified as Laliyali Khan, son of Azad Khan of Lahore, they said, adding that the troops recovered 2 grenades from them, and some Pakistan currency.

The troops also foiled another bid to infiltrate into Indian territory and arrested one Ifran Ahmed of Sailkote at Majra post on International Border in Jamgarh sector of Jammu district, they said.

He was also sent to join interrogation centre, they said adding that nothing incriminating was recovered from him.
