Two workers died and four others were seriously injured on Saturday evening at a private automobile component factory in Manesar when a temporary platform collapsed.

The incident took place around 3pm at Machino Plastic Limited, which supplies spare parts to car manufacturers.

According to the police officials, workers Naresh Kumar and Bhagirath died on the spot when a platform with iron bars and a heavy machine fell on labourers at work.

Haryana Fire Service officials rushed to the spot and rescued the labourers. Amid ongoing construction work, a lot of machinery and raw materials had been kept on a temporary platform at the factory.
