Uddhav calls for truce with disgruntle party MP

MP Subodh Mohite forwards his resignation on dispute over distribution of party tickets for local municipal elections, reports HT Political Bureau.

Alarmed with possibility of rebel from the party, Member of Parliament Subodh Mohite, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray burying the differences with the rebel leader called for a truce, on Friday.

Sources close to Uddhav said, "The issue was resolved through a telephonic conversation between Uddhav and Mohite."

When contacted, Uddhav refused to speak. However, party secretary Vinayak Raut said: "It was minor dispute over distribution of party tickets for local municipal elections between the party MP and local member of legislative assembly, and it has been resolved."

Earlier, Mohite on Thursday had forwarded his resignation as district co-ordinator of five disitricts of eastern Maharashtra including Nagpur, State's second capital.
