The followers of the MLA had bashed up the ARTO while he was randomly checking vehicles at Captainganj.

Jha said he was virtually made captive by the supporters of the MLA at the police station and no option before him but to withdraw his complaint.
According to reports, the ARTO had seized a jeep belonging to the supporters of the MLA and reacting to it, the supporters along with the MLA rushed to the spot and bashed up the ARTO.

He complained that at the behest of the MLA, his supporters attacked him and used abusive language.

Jha handed over a written complaint at the police station and the police personnel asked him to submit the medical report in support of his complaint. On Sunday morning Jha reached Captainganj with the medical report, which added more fuel to the fire.

As the news spread that Jha was at the police station, the MLA’s supporters rushed to the police station and raised slogans against the ARTO. They demanded to lodge a case against the ARTO for his alleged involvement in several cases and harassing the vehicles owners. They also handed over a written complaint to the police station in-charge.

Meanwhile, the police station in-charge of Captainganj Rajvijay Singh claimed that the dispute was settled after negotiation with between the MLA and the ARTO at the SDM’s initiative and both parties had withdrawn their respective complaints.

Meanwhile, SP MLA Radheshyam Singh denied reports that he had misbehaved with the ARTO and levelled charges of illegal collection against the ARTO. Contrary to it, district magistrate of Kushinagar Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil said that he would discuss the issue with the ARTO to confirm whether he had withdrawn the complaints under any pressure.
