Union Cabinet discussed damages due to cyclone Aila
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said the damage and loss caused by cyclone Aila in West Bengal was discussed in the meeting of the Union Cabinet which took up the disaster management plan for the country.
Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday night said the damage and loss caused by cyclone Aila in West Bengal was discussed in the meeting of the Union Cabinet which took up the disaster management plan for the country.
"The union cabinet on Saturday discussed the damages and losses caused by Aila. I personally talked to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue," she told reporters at the N S C Bose International Airport in Kolkata after arriving from Delhi.
She said that a disaster management plan for the country was also taken up in the meeting.
Stepping up attack on the CPI(M), she accused the party of playing politics in distribution of relief to cyclone-hit people in the state. "The quantity and distribution of relief is totally inadequate."
