The plane, on its way to Muscat from Dhaka (Bangladesh), developed an engine problem, forcing it to divert and land at Vivekanand Airport in Raipur, an airport official told PTI.
"The emergency landing was safe. The plane landed at 7pm," the official added.
All the necessary arrangements were made before landing. Fire engines and ambulances were stationed near the runway, he said.
Authorities were in touch with Bangladesh airlines for making alternative arrangement for the passengers to fly to their destinations, he added.
