Law admission results declared
After a little delay, the results of the much-awaited entrance test of the Allahabad University’s first five-year integrated law course were declared by the examination committee late on Monday evening.
AU PRO Amrendra Singh said the university had to take some tough measures, and instead of 80 as declared earlier, the university could admit only 30 candidates.
“We had to follow the guidelines of the Bar Council of India which had directed us not to admit candidates who had secured below 40 per cent of marks,” he said. This was why the examination committee had to drop the names of 50 other candidates. The results were announced following a meeting, he said.
