UP govt had nothing to do with cancellation of Varun's rally

The Bahujan Samaj Party on Sunday said that Uttar Pradesh government had nothing to do with the cancellation of Varun Gandhi's election rally which was to be held today in Bareilly district.
The Bahujan Samaj Party on Sunday said that Uttar Pradesh government had nothing to do with the cancellation of Varun Gandhi's election rally which was to be held today in Bareilly district.
Party state president Swami Prasad Maurya said, "The permission for the election rally, which was to be held at Faridpur in Bareilly was not given by the district administration after keeping in mind the local circumstances. In fact, the state government has got nothing to do with the decision of the district administration."

In a statement, Maurya also stated that the state government will not allow anyone to take law into their own hands, even if he belongs to "Gandhi family or is a son of a king".
