The UP openers are gelling well with each other and on paper the tourists are certainly a stronger team than the hosts.

The grass has been shaved off and the wicket looks rather dry and flat, perfect for long innings by the batsmen. "Yes it certainly is a batting track," said Hyderabad skipper Arjun Yadav and he is certainly aiming to put up a big total here.

The opposition skipper Mohammad Kaif, who has been in fine form this season too would be hoping that his batsmen click. "We hope to bring the momentum of the last game here too. We had performed well against Bengal,' said the Uttar Pradesh skipper.

His 91 in the first innings against Bengal was certainly a knock worth remembering. And then he has Suresh Raina to fall back upon; the man is enjoyed his domestic outing.

"I have been playing well and it has been a good year for me as far as the domestic season is concerned," said Raina. On his comeback efforts, he said, "I will certainly do my job whenever I get a chance, but as of now I am focusing on Ranji."

The UP openers Rohit Prakash Srivastava and Tamnay Srivastav too seem to be gelling well with each other and on paper the tourists are certainly a stronger team than the hosts. However, Kaif played down that difference saying, "We are going to concentrate on our strength and not their weakness."

Though, Kaif was optimistic about his batting line-up, but was a bit concerned about his bowlers. "It's a little inexperienced. R.P Singh is out on national duty; Salabh Srivastava has joined the ICL, so we are missing them, but on the whole we are a pretty balanced side."

About the track he said, "I have not played here earlier, but looks pretty much like a batting wicket."

The points table too is tilted in favour of UP. While the tourists are sitting pretty in the second place with 14 points in their kitty, Hyderabad are way below on the penultimate slot with 10 points from five matches. It certainly is a must win situation for Hyderabad .

Hyderabad skipper Yadav who will have a major role to play in this match and would be hoping that his frontline batsmen Ravi Teja and Daniel Manohar click. "Let's hope our batsmen do well here," he said.

Senior player Daniel Manohar too is looking forward for a good innings here. Recalling the last match, he said, "Unlike the previous one (against Andhra) this wicket looks good to bat on. The last time round we just went and came back in a jiffy."
