Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Saturday exuded confidence that the UPA government would survive the trust vote in the Lok Sabha.
Amar Singh told reporters at the airport in Chennai that his party, which had detailed discussions with former President APJ Abdul Kalam on the Indo-US nuclear deal, had appreciated the need for the deal.

He said senior leaders of the country like LK Advani had opposed the deal, without considering the national interest.
