Security at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and vital public installations like airports, railway stations and bus stands continued to remain high.

Additional policemen from adjoining districts have been deployed and more teams of paramilitary forces are due to take position soon.

Religious activities in major shrines, including the Sankat Mochan Temple, the site of one of the blasts, have also resumed.

The cantonment railway station, the site of the other blast, was also bustling with activity amidst hordes of GRP and RPF personnel guarding various entry and exit points.
