Vendors stage demo outside DM?s residence

ACTIVISTS OF Patari Dukandar Parishad held a demonstration in front of DM's residence demanding allotment of alternative place for their makeshift shops and against the ongoing anti-encroachment drives in the city.

ACTIVISTS OF Patari Dukandar Parishad held a demonstration in front of DM's residence demanding allotment of alternative place for their makeshift shops and against the ongoing anti-encroachment drives in the city.

The demonstrators led by Shyam Lal Valmiki and Ravidas Mehrotra demanded the allotment of alternative place if they are not allowed to sit on the roads. The street vendors demanded setting up of vendors' zone as directed in the national policy for street vendors and the Supreme Court.

The street vendors handed over a memorandum to the district magistrate.
