BANSAL INSTITUTE of Science and Technology (BIST) and VNS today entered the second round after winning their matches in the RGPV Nodal Cricket Tournament being organised at Radharaman Institute of Technology and Science (RITS).

The first match of the day witnessed a complete domination of BIST over TIT. Glittery performances by the BIST team ensured a thumping 101-run win over the opponents.

Batting first, BIST scored 197 runs in the stipulated 25 overs, the highest total of the tournament. Skipper Vijay Lokhande played the captain’s knock of 63 runs.

Taking full advantage of poor bowling by TIT, Deepak scored 46 runs. He was the second-highest scorer for BIST.
Chasing the target with the asking run rate of almost eight runs, TIT failed to stand up to the fine bowling attack of BIST.

After leading with bat, Vijay led in bowling also, claiming two wickets in a good spell. Disciplined bowling restricted TIT for just 96 runs. Sunil Yadav scored the highest 22 runs for the losers. In the second match, VNS was declared winner as the All Saints’ team fail to appear at the ground in the given time.
