Villagers exhorted to conserve water

MINISTER OF State for Forest and Scheduled Caste Welfare Prakash Sonkar visited various villages of Sanver development block today and sought information about public problems and in the process he dedicated to people the construction works worth lakhs of rupees and performed Bhumi pujan for fresh works.

MINISTER OF State for Forest and Scheduled Caste Welfare Prakash Sonkar visited various villages of Sanver development block today and sought information about public problems and in the process he dedicated to people the construction works worth lakhs of rupees and performed Bhumi pujan for fresh works.

The Minister exhorted villagers to make water conservation a way of life and prepare a proposal to contain water of small ponds and rivers and rivulets. He asked the public representatives to maintain quality in construction works and to ensure this he suggested monitoring for the same.

Sonkar gave instructions to prepare an estimate for various works to be carried out which were demanded by the villagers during his visit. He asked the villagers to come forward and apprise him of their basic needs. He gave assurance of fulfilling their needs.

During the visit Sonkar dedicated to people a middle school building constructed at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh at village Hindolia and Hindolia Pachol route. He performed Bhumi Pujan of Ralamandal Baloriya route for which Rs 2 lakh has been sanctioned from MLA fund. He directed the officers to carry out deepening of pond at village Ralamandal.

The villagers demanded that new DP should be established for electricity supply to village Hindoliya. They also demanded that asphaltation of school premises at village Therakhedi and renovation of the temple of the village should be done.
