Voting begins on dull note in Jharkhand

Polling began on a dull note in 11 seats of Jharkhand today with an estimated 9.30 per cent voters excercising their franchise in the first two hours.

Polling began on a dull note in 11 seats of Jharkhand on Tuesday with an estimated 9.30 per cent voters excercising their franchise in the first two hours.

Very few voters were seen at the booths spread across Hazaribagh, Dhanwar, Bagodar, Jamua, Bermo, Bokaro, Chandankiari, Shikaripara, Dumka, Jama and Jarmundi constituencies.

Altogether 237 candidates, including 115 Independents, are in the fray in the third phase of elections with Bokaro having the maximum of 45 aspirants and Dhanwar having the minimum of ten.
